Medicine Hat, or as you would call it if you were a local "The Hat," is a wonderful place to live! Easily accessible by the Trans-Canada Highway, Medicine Hat is located in the southeastern corner of Alberta. Medicine Hat is the perfect size - just under 60,000 people live here. The area is generally flat and has some rolling hills. The winters here are cold and dry, but the summers are warm with generally low humidity. The weather here makes Medicine hat a favorite among seniors as a place to retirees. To keep these folks here active, the city has several golf courses - the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club, the Connaught Golf Course, the Cottonwood Golf Course, the Paradise Valley Par 3, the Ross Creek par 3, the Riverview Golf Course, and the Links at Desert Blume.

Medicine Hat is home to a college of the same name - Medicine Hat College, which opened in 1965, and hosts over 2,500 students.
