Yup, still at it but now targeting Vancouver Island. This time he claims to be Wiley Donovan from the UK. Same bad english for a brit, same poem and same scam.

UPS says they have money for me. If the bank cashes it should I go for it? After all he’s wasted enough of my time.

Can someone explain to me exactly how his scam works, because having read all the above, it appears he sends out real money orders first and then attempts to scam people to send it back.

I’m confused as to exactly how he comes out ahead.

I have encountered this guy too! He goes by Chris Miller at the moment. His shipper is Finley Adams. I just received the check yesterday, and noticed that he called me twice. Good thing I didn’t answer, I guess he would have put on the water works for me, since his “mum died”. Thanks for all of your posts, it has made me more aware, and what to expect should this loser contact me again!

Excellent blog, got an email from Harrison Brown (raw.blue3@yahoo.com)inquiring about the rent and bank account where his employer will transfer the money. The email is an exact copy of some of the emails recieved by folks in 2009.

Also add Cherly Sun (cherylsun63@yahoo.com) to your list, same pattern of very generic emails and need to get my bank information so her “sponsor” can pay the bills.

um… what man calls himself ‘vivacious’? theres a form letter tip off if i ever saw one… unless he’s in theatre. i also dare everyone to use ‘primordial variables’ as a regular conversation topic while keeping a straight face… and give us the reactions of the conversation-ee… may as well use these as fodder for somethinbg, get enough of them hope everyone is well in la-la-landlord land.

I just got the full deal from this guy as well. Only his name was Wiley Povost, and shipper Adam Finley. First part that tipped me off was the the shipper had a G-mail account. Odd I’m just a low blow employee and I still got a company.com email.

Needless to say, no money for Wiley yet again. Hopefully he goes bankrupt sending everything FedEx.

I have the fraud cheque right here and all emails saved, let me know how I can help.

I had the same letter from Wily Provost for my suite advertised on craigs list and the pique here in Whistler. Why is this jerk not shut down by now???

Then some crazy email about a Honda coming and his employer calling me etc…I sent him an email saying my place was rented already – but the key for my detective work was I got him to call me…LOL

how can we stop this guy?????
