Haha, (desmondweiss@googlemail.com) emailed me about an ad for a room for rent on craigslist. As soon as they mentioned that “my employer will be covering all of my costs, and will send me payment in one cheque. I will need you to take it upon yourself to pay the shipper of my motorcycle with a portion of the money from this cheque”. Who actually falls for this stuff? -_-

I have received a similar email and almost got caught. The shipper’s email went like this: Hello , I am Henry Sphink and I am Mr Dickson Bamson’s shipper.He instructed me to get in touch with you pertaining his personal effects that he will be shipping from the UK to Canada but I have been instructed not to commence shipping until payment gets to you. There are certain details that I will be requiring from you so as to make sure everything goes as planned.But most especially I will be needing the address that Mr Bamson’s effects will be arriving in

Guys, I have another one for you. HE sent me an exact same e-mail as one of the ones you posted. This guy even called me live. His name is John Kennart. I had a feeling ti was bogus and I went as far as giving him my name and address. Then this whole thing about shipping a car came in. I said, “well in canada we have the driver in the middle of the road not the side.” He said, he took his car to be converted, I thought that sounded sketchy. This is his email address jkennart@googlemail.com. After the shipping talk I googled the email that I received form the supposed shipper. Sure enough it came up, and I checked it out on this site. Can ya tell me please, I have given him my name and address , is this enough to harm me in anyway? I’m gonna report the email right now. Cheers! I just got that exact harrison brown email. I thought it was a bit fishy because he wanted my address and phone number without giving anything of his own. So I asked for his and when he gave it to me 447024092703, I dialed it and came up with “cannot complete your call” I ended up giving him my cell number before I called though in a moment of stupidity. I imagine this is some sort of Identity Theft thing I’ll have to get my cell number changed.

Thanks for your postings. I went to phone Harrison Brown at the number he sent and Skype said I “wasn’t allowed to call this number” (+447024092703) Strange. So I searched the number and found this site. Thank you again.

Harrison has emailed me messages almost exactly to what he mailed to Winston. I have sent him my name, address and phone number but I will stop there. It seemed odd to me that he would want to rent a place that he has never seen. I also asked him for employer references and details of his “personal effects”. He hasn’t replied. I thought it was because he was busy with his mother since she just has surgery. Now I know better.

Harrison called me today and a Vancouver number showed on my caller ID. I am wondering if he is in Vancouver and posing as a shipper and may try and get into the addresses that he obtains. We’ll see.

Aaron Cole is at it again.. This time he’s wanting to book a recording studio for the month of July. I emailed back a quote of $9500. While the 1st email was suspicious, the second email exposed the scam. The one odd factor is he wants to use a credit card to pay, instead of the usual counterfeit cashiers check overpayment method. A stolen credit card would not approve, nor would he have access to chargeback funds if the card was valid because the money would go back on the original card. A legit card would expose his identity.

A Google search on his phone number led me here. Good job!

1st Email:
Dear Sir/Madam,

and have me distribute $8000 to some logistic agency, just like the above email. I googled his phone number and got this site.

After a few rounds of emails I gave him a quote and received the following response (which totally indicated to me that this was a scam):

I received the identical e-mails from Andrew Whiff, the ” mover”, and Jamie Kendrich, “the potential renter”, plus the “sad news” e-mail of his mother’s death. The bank draft his “employer” sent looked absolutely genuine, even the bank branch thought it was genuine…they held it 5 days and of course it was false! No I didn’t send any money thankgoodness. Amazing, had 2 phone calls with him, he sounded young and had a slight accent and genuine!
He must have an accomplice here in Canada, but I couldn’t read the postmark on the envelope.

I received an identical email from

as already posted. It sounded way to fishy, and the grammar is not something you would expect from a U.S. born person. I also received a second email . sent the same day from this scammer that read;

I need a (PA) Personal Assistant. I’m looking for someone that can be trusted and reliable to work very well and good understanding person.
This position is home-based and flexible, working with me is basically about instructions and following them, my only fear is that I may come at you impromptu sometimes, so I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include;
*Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring.
*Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I’m away.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.

Hello ,
The unimaginable thing I feared most has happened to me.My mother
passed away yesterday night. I am the most distraught person on planet
earth but there is need for me to gather mental, physical and spiritual
strength at this trying moment.
My mother is the catalyst behind all my present achievements and I
have been 500% dependent on her for more future support.Why did she
have to go? Arrangements are being made and she will be laid to rest
on Sunday.
I told my employer(Bryan Miller) about the news and he has given his
condolences.Also he told me to have patience with the payment(National
Bank Draft) as it was sent via regular mail.

Exchanged e-mails with Jamie, female from U.K., identical first message as Jamie Kenart who is happy and likes to make others happy, blah, blah, became suspicious as I couldn’t imagine a 26 year old having her honda shipped here, could she drive on the right hand side of the road? I asked her for information that she didn’t supply. I checked out the UVic scam alert and realized that was what was happening. I did give my address and phone # in the second e-mail before I became suspicious. I received an e-mail this morning from Andre Whiff from shipitfastuknownownow!!! I have reported both e-mails to internet fraud and FTC on line complaint.Should I do more?

I was born in and raised in Europe 26 yrs ago and pretty much moved
around Europe half of my life until my parents decided to settle in

Also just realized I was THIS close to being scammed 2 months ago when I received an similar email from a “Sean Harrington”. Didn’t realize it at the time, luckily our last tenant decided not to move at the last minute. I also got the same scam email about a personal assistant position as Joe above as well, but mine is from Ayem Eben. Funny how the one Joe got was from Fadee.
